Repair : Now let’s work on broken throttle: Unscrew 2 screws off, the throttle handle, If you open your throttle you will see the cable is loose and the plastic piece is broken, so there are 3 pieces:
The mount upper part, the lower part, and the throttle itself:
Repair method 1:
Take apart throttle. clean up the broken area from any bumps & broken chipped plastic.
drill the white part , where housing used to be, put 1 big or 2 smaller zip tie through it & tie it up with cable inside the tie.
it is the cheap fix & works 90% of time.
dont forget to use a little grease to part that it touches the plastic parts.
loosen up the throttle tense adjuster and the carburetor throttle adjuster, take the throttle mount upper part place it in your hand and hold it and with a pair of pliers break of the front part as much as you can. Now with the throttle handle in its position pull the cable nut and use the zip tie and hold the cable nut and zip tie it to the throttle itself, so the cable places underneath the zip tie, now tie up, make sure you make it ties enough so it will hold the cable nut try the throttle a little bit make sure cable doesn’t slide back, and if it is a little tight its ok, if it is tight enough it creates a throttle cruiser memory, put back and screw in the upper part and there you got it, re adjust the carburetor and throttle adjuster.
Overall: You will need 1 zip tie:
1: Open the throttle handle, take out the broken handle and cut out any broken pieces from the top. Make sure it is smooth, now put a little grease inside the throttle (top only) and reinsert your throttle back in the handle. Pull the throttle cable just so it reaches the throttle and secure it on throttle handle by a zip tie.
2: Cut out and extra zip file.
3: Now if you are having any trouble with the throttle the you might need to also do this: The top part of your throttle housing “look at the picture below”, cut out some using utility knife, until it allows you to go back and forth with your throttle without any trouble.
